Midwifery

Dr. Regina Flanagan, Dr. Darcie Juarez, and Emily Porter offer home birth midwifery services to our local community. 

Regina has delighted in the process of families being born and growing as a midwife since 2006. After bearing witness to many hundreds of families as they pass through that process, she continues to find midwifery a calling. Thus when she began Sunshine Family Healthcare as a primary care clinic in 2014, continuing to work as a midwife was a no-brainer. 

Darcie joined the team as both a naturopathic physician and midwife in 2022 and is passionate about education for families.

In 2022, Emily joined Regina as a student after personally experiencing the difference the midwifery model of care made for her own family and is completing her training in Fall of 2024.

All three midwives are passionate about walking alongside families through all of the difficulty and joy that comes with bringing a child into the world, and are honored to offer care before, during, and after the birth.
